Stress and anxiety can really do a number on many aspects of our lives, including our physical health, our mental health, and our relationships with those around us. I help people who want to feel more confident in their everyday life choices as well as those big life decisions, but who feel suffocated by responsibility and other perceived limits. I will support you in taking control of your life so you can advance confidently through life’s tough chapters and be better prepared to take on what’s next. In sessions I will pull from cognitive behavioral therapy, utilizing a strengths-based and trauma-focused approach. I will help you identify the patterns that are keeping you from getting unstuck and moving forward. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I received my Master’s degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago and my Bachelor’s degree in musical theater performance from Columbia College Chicago. I have two canine fur-babies, and I love spending time with them in our beautiful nearby forest preserves. I love to garden and read, and I spend a lot of time at the gym with my “fit family.” My other loves are traveling and learning about other cultures. There is truly so much we can learn from each other. I am down to earth and bring humor into our sessions when appropriate. Therapy doesn’t have to be something you dread! I am here to find where we can add some joy back into your life. I hope you will schedule a consultation with me to see if we would be a good fit!
