Devonna Jackson, LCPC

I am a psychotherapist committed to empowering individuals to move from surviving to thriving. I utilize a set of eclectic evidenced based approaches that are grounded in the importance of a mind-body connection to address the impact of complex issues, including trauma, mood disorders, complex anxiety, OCD, and perfectionism. My practice is centered on anti-oppressive values, actively affirming intersectionality and recognizing that societal biases significantly impact mental well-being. In sessions, we collaboratively engage in shame work and identity exploration to cultivate healthy self-esteem and self-worth that facilitates unconditional acceptance of the whole self. I frequently support clients navigating difficult life transitions, chronic burnout, necessary boundaries setting, and challenging interpersonal relationships. A core tenet of my work is the philosophy of redefining what functioning means: Giving ourselves permission to exist without expectations or standards that are inherently biased and misaligned with our realities and intersectionalities. Through compassionate, trauma-informed care, we can work to reclaim your narrative and foster sustainable well-being. When not at work, I enjoy cozying up with a good book, walks by the lake, or catching up on the latest episode of Dateline.
