Natalia Villa
As a first-generation Latina, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and mental health advocate, I am passionate about helping others work through their mental health journey to find peace and feel empowered to overcome their hardships. I utilize a culturally competent, trauma-focused, and intersectional approach to gain a deep understanding of how I can connect with an individual. Through a trauma-informed lens, I work with my clients to explore childhood experiences, their cultural identity, interpersonal relationships, triggers, life stressors, generational trauma, and how trauma experiences impact the mind and body. I enjoy empowering clients to explore their strengths within their culture/identity to use it as fuel to work towards healing. My clinical interests include working with Adolescents (ages 10 to 17), Adults, and supporting parents in their parental role. I also work with families, the LGBTQ+ community, BIPOC, and Spanish-speaking immigrant/Latino populations. My choice in evidenced-based practices that I utilize as a clinician includes Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Strengths-Based, and Person-Centered Therapy. I understand that healing is nonlinear and different for everyone. I adapt my approach accordingly to each person’s behavior and emotional needs. I will honor your experience by holding space for those overwhelming feelings. I strive to create a safe and supportive space that encourages growth and positivity. I welcome the opportunity to connect & work together!
